The NJAJ Gold Medal for Distinguished Public Service Journalism recognizes excellence in journalism, both print and electronic. The award honors compelling work that illuminates a consumer or legal issue or concern and serves the public interest. The award is presented to a reporter or news organization for an article/broadcast, series, column, profile, interview, trend story or a body of work.
